My “Bucket List”

Last week I got to stay with my mom after she had surgery so that I could help take care of her.  She had The Bucket List stored in her DVR so I decided to watch it.  It was a great movie and I decided that I needed to make a list of things that I want to do.  A few days went by and I didn’t start on my list…and then I came across a blog where a mom had posted her list of things to do before she died…I LOVED it!  So, I decided that my blog would be the best place for me to post my list.  Some of these have already been completed…yay!  I took some of them from my “Senior Memoirs” book where I had listed my future dreams. Obviously this will be a work in progress because I will be thinking of more things I want to do. Enjoy!

  1. Get Married
  2. Have kids
  3. Drive a mini van
  4. Be a Girl Scout Leader
  5. Be president of the PTA (this was from my senior memiors book…I homeschool, so we don’t exactly have a PTA but I was a support group leader for a local group and I still a leader in the homeschool community in my area, so does that count??)
  6. Reach a weight that I am comfortable with. (I love myself but my knees and ankles don’t like the extra weight I am carrying)
  7. Own a 15 passenger van
  8. Write a book
  9. Own my own business
  10. Visit Italy
  11. Go on a mission trip
  12. Spend a day shopping in New York
  13. Take a train to Chicago
  14. Swim with dolphins (since I don’t like the ocean, this will have to be done in an aquarium type setting!)
  15. Run a 5K
  16. Become fluent in Spanish
  17. Learn Sign Language
  18. Mentor someone
  19. Be a presenter at a conference
  20. Learn to line dance
  21. Visit Japan
  22. Go on a cruise
  23. Help someone in need
  24. Do a back flip off of a diving board
  25. Color my hair a crazy color (added purple in May 2010…will probably do other crazy colors too!)

To be added to….
